Stuck in the mud

Monday Apr 8, 2025 Sup yall, heres a recap of my week. Its def a day late but whatcha gonna do haha Google photos➡️ https://photos.app.goo.gl/xjfYB9Y6ZcpAPPLK7 Monday 👏 Pday! Today we spent a lot of time with our district. We decided to all go to dairy queen and get our free ice cream of the week. Im dumb and didnt know which one to go to, so we ended up visiting all 3 dairy queens in great falls. It was a huge waste of gas but we got ice cream out of it so wtv. Then we had the last lesson with porter and roscoe! They are on date for may 10th! Tuesday 👏 Today was chill. The one thing we did was help serve dinner to the homeless! Wednesday 👏 We had district council and the elders suprised sister sutherland with a choco brownie xtreme cake for her bday! And if you know her, you know why that's so hype lol. After that we went out contacting, and we were about 3 houses in when I did something really dumb. We couldnt find one of the houses, so i went to turn around and to my suprise there was a water runoff that had just recently drained, so the mud was reallll soft, and as soon as my tire touched it, it sucked us in and we got stuck 😂. The right 2 tires were so deep into the mud that you couldnt see them. So i called brother carroll and he came to our rescue haha. He hooked this massive chain to our car and pulled us out with his truck. So yeah lesson learned, won't happen again. Thursday 👏 We hit about a million houses today and i was soooo exhausted by the end of it. We went to this one house out in the freaking boonies and 3 golden retreivers ran out right in front of our car as we were coming up the driveway, and then followed our car the rest of the way up. They were so freaking cute and they were so happy to see us. The actual people didnt answer, but that was the highlight of my day. A bunch of houses later, we found a new person to teach! He answered his door and i started asking him questions about the bible and the book of mormon, and he had a million questions so he had us come in, and then invited us to come back! So that was very exiting. Friday 👏 Nothing crazy happened lol Saturday👏 Conference! This is probs the first time ive sat down and watched the whole conference in my life and i gotta say. Its still pretty boring, but its actually really cool! And i feel like i learned a lot. We were able to go to this lady named aprils house for 3 out of the 5 sessions! Shes in our stl's ward and she invited our whole district for the first session so it was really fun to be able to watch conference with everyone! And April was so sweet and fed us breakfast in lunch on Saturday, and then breakfast again on sunday. We are genuinely so blessed to have such good members in our area, who are so willing to help out the missionaries! April has a really cool conversion story that I feel like I need to share a little bit of. April converted when she was 18, but went inactive a little while later. And then later into her adult life she was living with her dad, and she was kinda going down a dark path. The missionaries would come by occasionally, but they stopped answering the door. One set of missionaries left a sticky note with their number on it, and april didnt have the heart to throw it away, so she stuck it in her scriptures, that she still kept next to her bed. And 5 years later, she decided that she needed to change her life, and she knew that the gospel could do that for her. She remembered the sticky note that she put in her scriptures 5 years prior, and dug it out and called the number. And she started meeting with the missionaries again! And shes been completely active ever since. April is proof that planting seeds works! Its a good reminder when i feel like the work is going slow. Maybe what i'm doing doesn't seem super important now, and maybe the people aren't ready to hear it. But you never know, maybe in 5 years they will be! Sunday👏 More conference haha. But other than that not much happened. To be completely honest, this transfer has been a little more challenging that the last one 😂. But i know that by leaning on Jesus Christ, and doing all the things that i testify to people about on a daily basis, i can find peace! And i have, through scripture study, and prayer. I know that as you do those things you can find peace too. I promise that god is aware of you. And he wants to help you, so seek him out!
