1st week of hmtc! 🎉

Being thrown into missionary life head first has actually been so fun. If you know me, you know I would stay out until like 2am everyday playing volleyball and getting food with my friends. Having to go to bed at 10:30 and getting up at 6:30 has been a huge adjustment ( a much needed one ). But I have been very sleepy 😴.

My district is the best district by far, sorry everyone else. And I got so lucky with my comp, I literally love her ( shout out sister Federico ).

I went into hmtc honesty expecting to hate it haha. But I ended up loving it! We start early in the morning and finish at 9pm. We have two 3 hour classes a day and usually a 1 hour workshop in between. The break between the workshop and my last class has been killing me tho. I got so bored, but now that I’m so close to leaving I’m realizing all the things I should’ve been doing during that break instead of just sitting there 😂. ( don’t tell anyone but I’m not packed at all ). The one thing making that break something to look forward to, is my best friend coming to see me everyday. Even if it’s just for 30 minutes between her getting off work, and me having class, we always make it work. Saturday was my brothers birthday so we went to top golf on my break! It’s kinda fun being out in public and having everyone ask where you’re going on your mission. Usually that kind of attention would freak me out but I’ve been loving it.

The classes have been so fulfilling! I’ve never been more spiritually fed in my life. If my testimony can grow this much in a week, I can’t wait to see how much it grows over the next 18 months.

Spiritual thought 💭

One of my teachers shared this scripture with us and said “ I know these words are true, and they are in the Book of Mormon so that means that I know the Book of Mormon is true too.” And that was wild to me. Everything in these verses I already have a very strong testimony about. And while I’m gonna say I already knew the Book of Mormon was true, this just confirmed it more. It’s Moroni 10: 3-5 and it basically talks about having a question, and asking god for an answer, and it testifies that if you ask with a sincere heart and a real intent, you will always get your answer in the right timing. I know that’s true. So that means the Book of Mormon is true too.

Moroni 10: 3-5

3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and 'ponder it in your hearts.

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will/mani-fest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may "know the 'truth of all things

Anyways long story short I already love my mission and I am so exited to keep going! I leave this Wednesday for the mtc! I’m terrified to leave but I’m so exited to be in Montana! Love you all see you in 18 🫶
